Maiti Nepal rescues girl

Rautahat, January 9:

Maiti Nepal has rescued eight-year-old Siya Sundari Kumari, daughter of Satahu Rai Yadav of Laxmipur Belbichwa Village Development Committee-5, ten days after she went missing on December 30.

Siya’s father had filed an application at the Gaur branch of Maiti Nepal asking it to search for the missing girl. Employees of Maiti Nepal were able to rescue Siya from the border area of Banjaraha after ten days of intense search, Maiti Nepal said.

Chief of Gaur office of Maiti Nepal, Chandra Acharya, said Siya had wandered away to Ghodasahan in India, where she stayed for two days. Siya had then escaped again and reached Banjaraha village of Nepal, where the family of one Shambhu Yadav, a resident of Banjaraha, had kept Siya with them for seven days. Maiti Nepal employees had found Siya with the Yadavs, Acharya said.
