Makawanpur health facilities handed over to local levels

All primary health posts and other health facilities have been handed over to local bodies in Makawanpur.

Organising formal programmes on different dates, Makawanpur District Public Health Office handed over 45 health facilities, including four primary health posts and 41 health posts, to the local levels. All primary health posts and health posts except Hetauda Hospital have been handed over to the local levels.

All the health posts and primary health posts of Thaha Municipality, Bakaiya Rural Municipality, Raksirang Rural Municipality, Kailash Rural Municipality, Bagmati Rural Municipality, Bhimphedi Rural Municipality and Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City have been handed over to the local levels.

District Public Health Office Chief Ramchandra Pathak said all the health posts and health facilities of the district would now function under the concerned local bodies. According to Pathak, health posts and health facilities have medical equipment worth Rs 100 million.

Health facilities were handed over to the local levels in line with the central government’s policy of integrating some government offices of the district with local levels.

Pathak said four doctors were working at four primary health posts and there were 445 health volunteers working in the district.
