Make FSU inclusive say students

Pokhara, January 31:

The student leaders at an interaction programme, ‘Free Students’ Union election in the changed context’, organised by Creative Youth Forum in Prithvi Narayan Campus said

the Free Students Union should be made inclusive, so that everyone gets

an opportunity to represent themselves in students politics.

Former student leader and CPN (UML) district secretary Rabindra Adhikari said the students organisation in the colleges should be made inclusive for equal representation

to Janajatis, women and Dalits and the marginalised communities.

Former president of the Free Students Union at Tribhuvan University Central College and lecturer Dev Raj Chalise said underprivileged should get adequate representation at the FSU as the students’ erpresentative body stands for the interest of the students and not for any particular organisation.

Central member of the ANNISU (R) Madan Ale said the Free Students Union statute should be amended ahead of the elections.

The programme was chaired by president of the Creative Youth Forum in Prithvi Narayan Campus Thakur Bastakoti.
