Parasi: Malaria epidemic has spread in southern parts of Nawalparasi district, said locals. Patients of these areas have gone India for treatment before checking up in the local health post as this areas share border with India.

Officials at the District Public Health Office, Nawalparasi, accepted the cases of malaria in southern parts of the district saying that they could not control the disease on time. The disease was out of control though supanets were distributed and pesticide was sprayed to control the disease.
