MYAGDI: A youth died after falling into a pond at Dana-2 in Myagdi district, on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Santosh Ghimire (24), of Jamune-7 in Tanahun, police informed. Police said Ghimire had slipped into the pond while trying to take a photograph in the background of the Rupse Falls.

An employee of Damauli branch of the SBI Bank, Ghimire was on his way to visit Mustang when the incident occurred.

Police said that were trying to take out Ghimire's body stuck on the shore of the pond.
