BANEPA: A man drowned in local Indrawati River in Kavre district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Hari Prasad Parajuli of Bhullu Rural Municipality-9 in the district.

The incident occurred when Parajuli was taking bath in the river, informed police.

Meanwhile, locals have accused crusher industries for the death of the man. According to them, extraction of sand and pebbles from the river by the industries has changed course of the river, resulting into the man's death.

They have also demanded the crusher industries for compensation to the family of the victim.
