JHAPA: A man drowned in a pond in Damak of Jhapa on Wednesday.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, the deceased has been identified as Arjun Limbu (41) of Damak-19.

Limbu had reportedly gone to the pond to wash his legs when he accidentally slipped and fell into the pond, police said.

He breathed his last on the way to a hospital, police said.
