Man found dead on Marsyangdi riverbank

LAMJUNG: Police on Wednesday recovered a body of a youth on the Marsyangdi riverbank in Sundar Bazaar of Lamjung district.

Police have suspected that Aakash Magar (25), a permanent resident of Aaitapur-9 of Chitwan district, was murdered with the use of a sharp weapon on his head.

The law enforcement personnel, hence, have arrested eight persons to look into the case.

Police Inspector Kamal Bahadur Rajaure said six of the suspects are women.

Magar was working as a construction worker for the Karmodaya Primary School in Bharte-2 of the district.

He was missing since April 14, the second day of the Bikram Samvat New Year 2073. He had left for Baglung Kalika Temple to celebrate the New Year with some Indian nationals.

He, however, had returned to Lamjung the very day (April 13).

Meanwhile, the body has been sent to the District Hospital for postmortem.
