Itahari, May 18:

The police arrested another suspect in the murder of Itahari’s businessman Kailashchandra Agrawal and his wife Kantadevi last evening.

The Agrawal couple was murdered under mysterious circumstances on March 18.

A seven-member probe committee from Koshi zone police headed by Inspector Teku Limbu arrested the youth who hails from Morang district.

However, police have not disclosed the name and address of the youth citing security reasons.

Earlier, police had arrested 15 persons in the case, of which 14 were freed.

Agrawal couple’s driver, Sunila Rai, is still in police custody.

Accusing the cops with being hand-in-glove with the murderers, Sunsari’s businessmen had launched an agitation on Monday.

They padlocked Sunsari district administration office for two days seeking proper investigation

into the case and action to the culprits.

They withdrew their agitation after being assured that report of the murder would be submitted within 20 days and the culprits would be arrested.

Meanwhile, the police headquarters has mobilised an investigation team to probe the

incident.

According to police sources, Special Superintendent of Police Dipak Ranjit of Crime Investigation Division is leading the team.
