DOLAKHA: A man died and his wife sustained critical injuries in a khukuri attack at Mirge-5 of Chilaunekharka, Dolakha.

According to the District Police Office, Dolakha, the deceased has been identified as Keshav Dahal (54) and injured as Sita Dahal.

Police said that Amar Bahadur Tamang Lama had attacked the couple at around 6:30 am today.

Lama is on the run after the incident, police said.

It has been learned that preparations are underway to take Sita to the District Hospital for treatment.

The cause behind the attack is yet to be established.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
