BIRGUNJ: A man died after his elder brother beat him black and blue over a land dispute that ran high at Chhapkaiya of Birgunj, Parsa, on Wednesday.

Makbul Miya, 35, of Chhapkaiya, Birgunj Metropolitan City-2, died after his elder brother Arsul Miya hit him with a brick on Tuesday afternoon.

Makbul sustained a deep cut on his head and was undergoing treatment at Birgunj Health Care Hospital from where he was referred to Narayani sub-regional Hospital. Later, he was admitted at National Medical College after his treatment was not possible at Birgunj Health Care.

Miya died at National Medical College in the course of treatment on Wednesday. “After Makbul’s died, we nabbed Arsul for investigation,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Sapkota.
