Manisha Koirala busy campaigning for polls
Biratnagar, February 3:
Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala is busy publicising the upcoming municipal polls in Biratnagar and a large number of security personnel have been employed for her safety.
Addressing separate corner meets at Bhanu tole and Bhattimod in Biratnagar sub-metropolis today, she urged the people to protect their fundamental right by casting votes in the upcoming civic polls.
She also urged the Maoists to stop murdering people. Saying that she was not afraid of the Maoists, she vowed to continue her publicity campaign. Koirala has been busy for the last few days campaigning for Binod Aryal, a Biratnagar sub-metropolis mayoral candidate.
Addressing the corner meeting at Bhanu tole, Susma Koirala, Manisha’s mother, said: “My daughter is ready to sacrifice herself to restore peace and democracy in the country.”
State minister for Woman, Children and Social Welfare, Dr Durga Pokharel, has also been campaigning for Aryal. Informing that she was a congress activist, Pokharel said she had been elected as a minister for her support of the royal takeover.
