Pyuthan, November 15:
Students of the Maoist-aligned All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) yesterday seized question papers of the half-yearly tests of Moral and Civil Life to be held from tomorrow in Pyuthan.
District Vice-Chairman of ANNISU-R, Rajendra Raut, told this daily that the question papers of grades 6,7 and 8 were seized when they were being taken to the schools from the Bagdula Resource Centre. He claimed that the papers were seized as a portion of the contents praised the royal family.
Chairman of Examination Committee of Secondary Schools, Begam Bahadur KC, said the examination for the subject would be postponed for now. School Supervisor of District Education Office, Pyuthan, Gunja Bahadur Raut said though he has heard of the seizure of question papers, the DEO has not received any official information.
The padlock in principals’ offices of community schools of the district by the revolutionary students’ union has not been lifted.
ANNISU-R has padlocked the headmasters’ offices of 15 community schools of the district, except the Mahendra Higher Secondary School at the district headquarters.
The schools have said the administrative work of the schools has been affected due to the padlock.
