Chaurjahari (Rukum), April 29:
Locals of Chaurjahari are facing an acute drinking water problem after Maoists disconnected the pipe that supplied water to the bazaar area. Sources said the Maoist move was aimed at the security forces who are here to provide security to Chaurjahari airport. On April 22, the RNA deployed a company to guard the airport, which resumed services after 21 months.
After the Maoist action, over 3,000 people in the bazaar area are forced to trudge two kilometres to the Bheri river to fetch water.
