Nawalparasi, May 12:

Maoists this evening released five security personnel, whom they had abducted from Bhumahi area of Ramnagar VDC in Nawalparasi, on Tuesday evening.

The security personnel of the Bardaghat-based Bindhyabasini Armed Police Mahavidhyalaya were released from the same place of their abduction. However, the Maoists did not returned five weapons they had seized from them. All the released have already came into contact, said SSP Raj Kumar Rana of the Mahavidhyalaya. Quoting the released personnel, Rana said Maoists have assured the weapons would be returned soon.

The freed security men include SI Bam Bahadur Kunwar, head constable Krishna Rijal and constables Nawaraj Shrestha, Dharma Raj Jaisi and Bharat Thapa Magar.
