Activists of the Unified CPN-Maoist have gheraoed Doramba Police Post since last evening, demanding action against three persons, who reportedly embezzled funds meant for the construction of Mud-Doramba section of road last year.

The Maoists arrested former VDC chairman Deek Bahadur Tamang, Meen Bahadur Tamang and Bala Tamang and handed them over to the police yesterday accusing them of embezzling funds worth Rs 2 lakh.

"When a police team reached Doramba police post, Maoist cadres gheraoed it," a local, Chandraman Ghising.
