Maoists and locals have constructed a 19-km gravelled road between Beltar and Madibaas VDCs.

The Maoists had issued a summons, urging each family to join hands for the construction purpose or face action and a fine amounting to Rs 3000. The road was constructed in memory of a Maoist who had died fighting the security forces, locals said.

Maoists and forest officers have also formed a team to save the forest located in the north-eastern parts of the district.
