Two Maoists shot dead member of the Nepali Congress, Dailekh, Dil Bahadur Rana, near the district headquarters of Dailekh bazaar this afternoon.

According to the chief district officer, Dailekh, Rishikesh Niraula, Rana was returning home from the district administration office after holding discussions on problems faced by the displaced when he was shot. The firing also injured two persons, Pahal Singh Ramjali of Naufale VDC-4 and an eight-year-old girl, Purbesi Singh of Dailekh bazaar, Niraula said.

Meanwhile, Maoists abducted four persons from Dailekh’s Chhiudi Khusakot area yesterday.
