Maoists ready to lead consensus government: Dahal

BANEPA: The chairman of CPN Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, pointed out the need for a national consensus government during the post-constitution period.

Speaking at a public programme at Nala of Kavrepalanchok on Monday, the top leader of a major constituent of ruling alliance, said a national unity government will be formed in collaboration among the political parties sharing a common agenda.

He went on to say that his party was ready to lead such a government if there was an agreement towards that end.

Dahal urged other major political parties not to take the matter of government change lightly.

He admitted that the government failed to provide even a little relief to the earthquake survivors.
