Maoists seize late Sharma's land

PARASI: Unified Maoists-affiliated All Nepal Peasants' Organisation-Revolutionary (ANPO-R) on Monday seized late Rabindranath Sharma’s house and land in Nawalparasi.

In line with the party’s decision to distribute land to paupers, Sharma’s house and 36 bighas of land located at Bhathaudiya in Ramnagar VDC 8 of the district were seized, said Ramdhani Kewat, central member of the organisation.

Stating that the party would capture the lands of feudal lords for good, Kewat hoisted the party’s flag and declared the seizure. He also warned against selling the house and land, threatening stern action.

Sharma was a former minister and leader of Rastriya Prajantra Party (RPP).
