Matrika warns of fresh armed rebellion
Sarlahi, February 21:
Newly formed CPN-Maoist leader Matrika Yadav warned of launching an armed struggle in case the government failed to address its demands.
Speaking at a press meet today organised prior to the general assembly at Haripur VDC in Sarlahi, Yadav demanded to provide land to the landless people, emancipation of the tortured Pahadis and Madhesi communities, appropriate wages to all labourers and workers, compensation to the families of martyrs of Janaandolan II and free education to their family members.
“The Prachanda-led Unified CPN-Maoist is against the spirit of people’s war,” he said. “I am about to revamp the party structure.” He blamed Prachanda for leaving the ideology of people’s war.
Former minister Yadav claimed that his party would be revolutionary to fight for the rights of victimised and segregated Madhesis, dalits, indigenous and marginalised communities.
“The Prachanda-led Maoist failed to think of compensating the families of the martyrs, free education for their children and reasonable wages to the workers,” he added.
