DOLAKHA: Dolakha’s Bhimeshwor Municipality has started distributing medical allowances meant for the elderly at their homes.

According to Mayor Bharat Bahadur KC, the elderly in Ward No 1 and 9 were provided with the medical allowance for the first time on Monday.

Mayor KC had reached the senior citizens’ homes in person to provide them with the allowance Rs1000 in Ward No 1, while Deputy-mayor Kamala Basnet visited the homes of elderly persons in Ward No 9. Ninety-two-year-old Dhanamaya Shibakoti said she was happy to receive her monthly medical allowance at home.
