Kathmandu, August 26:

The Freedom Forum organised an interaction among CA members, including media experts, civil society leaders and rights activists on issues related to press freedom, freedom of expression and opinion, right to information, press and the contempt of court, press and the privacy rights, press and state of emergency.

The function was organised yesterday with a view to facilitating cooperation among the stakeholders and CA members on various aspects of the issues to be reckoned with while framing a new statute. A total of 25 persons, including 10 CA members and representatives of OHCHR and ARTICLE 19 took part in the interaction.
