Memo handed over to PM
Siraha, June 18 :
CPN (UML) affiliated students today forwarded a memorandum, through the chief district officer, to the prime minister demanding probe on the murder of parliamentarian Hem Narayan Yadav.
The memorandum also contained mention of their agitation programme.
They alleged that the committee formed by the parliament 39 days ago under the convenorship of parliamentarian Ananda Prasad Dhungana has not shown interest even to visit the district. Parliamentarian Yadav was murdered on February 2, 2004.
The memorandum handed over to the PM said that it has raised doubts that in spite of reports of different probe committees, the state has not initiated even an investigation during the period and warned that a stern agitation would be launched if the investigation is not taken up within a week.
