Mid-west records 116 traffic-related deaths in past six months

BANKE: The Mid-Western Development Region has recorded 116 human casualties due to road accidents in the past six months.

The Mid-Western Regional Traffic Police Office, Kohalpur's latest data shows that 230 people were injured in road accidents in the period. The number of male is higher than female among the deceased road victims.

Drunk-driving is found to be the main reason behind such a noticeable number of traffic-related deaths, the Office said.

Furhter, the data disclose that most of the accidents had taken place during the festival times and the number of small vehicles involved in the accidents is higher than big ones.
