KATHMANDU: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal, has said that women empowerment campaign would be effective by promoting women entrepreneurship.

At a seminar 'Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship' organised by Nepal US Alumni Network (NUSAN) here today, Minister Aryal said that the government was active for the upliftment and development of women.

Minister Aryal stressed that it was necessary to promote women entrepreneurship to materialise the government's campaign of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis', adding that different programmes have been launched to make women self-reliant and entrepreneurs.

Minister Aryal said, "Private sector should make programmes as per the necessity of the market and the government should formulate policy in order to help them. Women empowerment and entrepreneurship should be developed through public-private partnership."
