Minister Joshi underscores job creation

POKHARA: Minister for Industry Nabindra Raj Joshi has underlined the need for job creation for the youths in the country so that no youth has to seek greener pasture for employment opportunities.

At an interaction programme 'Start up Ecosystem' jointly organised by Ministry of Industry, Nepalese Youth Entrepreneurs' Forum, Start up Ecosystem Development Committee and Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Minister Joshi urged the political parties to enable environment for employment for the youths.

"In the wake of gaining political achievements," Joshi continued, "the focus now should be on attaining economic prosperity."

Highlighting the need to maximise the usage of resources and equipment in the industries and factories, he expressed his confidence that the country would make an economic stride.

The Minister also shared that under the Industrial Promotion Act, around 100,000 small scale industrialists are expected to be registered in the government's data base.

Echoing with Minister Joshi, State-Minister for Industry Kanchan Bade Shrestha spoke of the need to operate industries and factories by utilising local labour and skills.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry for revising the old industrial act and establishing factories.

Entrepreneurs Ashutosh Tiwari, Omraj Bhandari, Bishwa Shanker Palikhe, Prakashdev Palikhe and Ashok Palikhe among others also shared the similar views as Minister Joshi and State-Minister Shrestha. --------
