Minister Sharma urges voters to cast their votes without fear
KATHMANDU: The Minister for Home Affairs Janardan Sharma has said the government has completed its preparation for holding third phase of local level elections in province number 2 on September 18.
Speaking at an interaction programmee in the Capital today, Minister Sharma urged all the voters to cast their votes without any fear as the government has made necessary security arrangement.
He also clarified that the security agencies would be mobilised as per the requirement in province number 2.
"I appeal to the general public that the government has made necessary security arrangement and deployed accordingly in the province. I urge the denizens of Province number 2 to cast their votes without any fear." Minister Sharma added.
CPN-Maoist Centre leader Sharma also clarified that the first phase of security is the enthusiasm of general public towards elections, who themselves are eager to cast their vote.
"Government has created a conducive environment for holding third phase of local polls in peaceful, independent, fearless and transparent manner," Sharma shared.
Minister Sharma also said that the government has deployed Nepal Police in first line of security, followed by Armed Police Force, Nepali Army and National Investigation Department for the local polls.
Home Minister Sharma also clarified that the government has not violated any elections code of conduct and stressed that the government is ready to lend any support to the Election Commission.
Former Minister for Energy Janardan Sharma also said that the borders along the India would be sealed prior to 72 hours of local polls.
"Indian counterpart have also supported us and agreement was reached for same during the third phase local polls in eight districts in the Province,". Sharma shared.
Speaking on a different note, Minister Sharma informed that the government is aware of Rohingiya refugees in Kapan area.
He said government would bare more refugees entering the country and more than 400 refugees would be returned home.
