Minister warns of power cuts

Birgunj, November 11:

State Minister of Water Resources Gyanendra Bahadur Karki today said that there was the possibility of widespread load-shedding in the country in future, as the quantum of electricity produced in the country is not being able to meet domestic demand for electricity. Only 614 MW of electricity is produced in Nepal. Minister Karki said efforts are on to buy 50 KW of electricity from neighbouring India in order to ease the power shortage in Nepal.
