Minister’s call to govt employees

Kathmandu, April 21:

Minster for Local Development Khadga Bahadur GC today requested all the government employees to be disciplined and loyal to the nation and the people. “After the restoration of democracy in 1990, government employees had shifted their loyalty from people, country and the system to the political parties and this is being corrected now and the process is on,” minister GC said while addressing the 11th district council of Kathmandu District Development Committee here, today. The Kathmandu DDC should be model and inspire all other DDCs to play a leading role in development of the respective districts. He also stressed the need of balanced development and also programmes to uplift the Dalits, Janajatis and women. Former

minister and member of the Raj Parishad Jog Meher Shrestha demanded the government to discourage politics in the government offices. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Baman Prasad Neupane said coordination mechanism is necessary between the DDC and DAO to avoid repetition of same sort of programmes.
