Ministries asked to prepare report

Kathmandu, September 24

All ministries and their subordinate bodies have been asked to submit a report on how to effectively execute the new constitutional provisions relating to administrative services and the delivery system.

A high-level meeting held today under the coordination of Minister for General Administration Lal Babu Pandit asked all the ministries, their departments and offices to come up with a provisional work-plan for the next three years so as to reflect the essence of the newly adopted federal constitution in public service delivery.

A separate meeting representing all ministries and government offices chaired by Minister Pandit also directed all the ministries to submit a work plan as how best to implement the Civil Service laws, including the exiting Act and the Regulations in tandem with the new statute.

Chief Secretary Somlal Subedi had sent a five-point circular to all government bodies to implement the federal system as enshrined in the new charter.
