Ministry of Forest reviews progress

Kathmandu, August 25 :

The weighed progress of development programmes launched under the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation during third fourth month of the fiscal year 062-63 has been recorded at 79 per cent while progress in the year was at 84 per cent.

This was revealed at a review workshop held under the chairmanship of State Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation, Gopal Rai.

Minister Rai pointed out the need to review the annual programmes launched throughout the fiscal year and said that they should be analysed not only qualitatively but also quantitively.

He also directed the concerned officials to assess the impact made by the forest policy on poverty alleviation.
