NAWALPARASI: A child died in a road accident at Baidauli-8 of Nawalparasi district on Monday.

According to the Nawalparasi District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as five-year-old Sani Pasi of Baidauli.

Pasi sustained critical injuries when the tanker (Na 2 Kha 8880) ferrying milk, en route to Bardaghat from Basahiya, hit him, police added.

Police said that Pasi was being rushed to the Prithvi Chandra Hospital, Parasi, but breathed his last on the way.

The tanker driver has been arrested and the vehicle has been impounded for further investigation, police added.
