DHANGADHI: A teenage girl who was missing for the past six days from Bani Bazaar in Krishnapur Municipality, Kanchanpur has been found dead on Monday.

17-year-old Kabita Bista’s body was found lying dismembered near Amkhaiya River flowing through Laaljhadi-Mohnaban forest area in Krishnapur Municipality-2.

Bista, a student at Saraswati Secondary School in Kailali, Geta, had gone missing since she went to Attariya Bazaar to purchase groceries, a week ago.

The police on assumptions of a murder have initiated an investigation and took a suspect, Madan Giri of the same municipality into custody, Chief at Area Police Office, Jhalari, Ramesh Prasad Awasthi informed.
