MAHOTTARI: A minor, who went missing from his maternal uncle’s home, was found dead in a conflux of Aankushi and Jangha rivers, on Tuesday.

According to the Mahottari District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as Krishna Mahaseth of Bhatauliya VDC-2 in the district.

Sunita, mother of the deceased, informed that the three-year-old went missing from around 7 pm on Monday.

His body was found floating a day later in the conflux. Superintendent of Police Janak Bhattarai of the DPO said it was likely that the boy drowned in the river.

He said police were still investigating how the body arrived there.
