MJF activists greet Home Minister with black flags
Rajbiraj, July 22:
Madhesi Janaandhikar Forum cadres today waved black flags at Minister for Home Affairs Krishna Prasad Sitaula while he was attending a seminar at the Saptari district development committee office here.
The MJF cadres shouted that Home Minister Sitaula should take moral responsibility for those who were killed during the Madhes agitation and that federal governance system be implemented and Madhes needed rights and not talks.
Also today, MJF cadres including Chandra Narayan Yadav, Navanit Jha, Dev Narayan Yadav, Shyam Narayan Yadav, Prakash Chaudhari, Rabindra Yadav, Sanjay Yadav and Tarkeshor Yadav waved black flags at him when he was attending a blood donation programme held at the Blood Transfusion Centre.
Earlier, Minister Sitaula urged the Nepali Congress cadres to stay calm when they were about to retaliate after a MJF cadre Chandra Narayan Yadav waved black flag at him in the DDC meeting hall.
Minister Situala said those who were in favour of the monarchy were opposing the CA polls.
Clarifying that he never issued a 15-day ultimatum for the rebel groups in Tarai to come for talks with the government, he claimed to have said that the problems in the Tarai region would be solved in 15 days.
Earlier, at a press conference held this morning, he said that Nepali Congress can never be pro-monarchy party since it has already dropped constitutional monarchy from its statute. He said that Nepal can be strong and prosper if all the parties worked together for national interest.
Saying that all democratic forces should unite, he said their fight against the monarchy is at the decisive end. This time the fight will be decisive and people will come out victorious, he said.
