Mobile phone service disrupted for four months
JAJARKOT: Mobile phone service in remote VDCs of Jajarkot and some parts of Rukum district has been disrupted for almost four months after a mobile tower turned dysfunctional.
As a result, local people of the districts are deprived of the NT mobile phone service as the tower situated at Phamda village in Bhagawati VDC was impaired since mid-June.
The people of Bhagawati VDC in Jajarkot and Gotamkot, Khadri and others of Rukum are affected due to lack of mobile phone service and are forced to trek the whole day to get the phone service, local resident of Bhagawati Mohan Basnet said.
Some two weeks ago, the locals had urged the Chief District Officer of Jajarkot, Janardan Gautam, for the maintenance of the telephone tower and resumption of the phone service.
Likewise, the NC office has also vowed to resume the service sooner.
