Kirtipur, May 1:
Speakers of an interaction, which was organised to discuss ways to transform Nepal into a developed nation in 20 years, said that visions of the youth should be incorporated in national policies.
They added that youths should be given opportunities to formulate development policies.
"There is a need for separate and independent movement to involve more and more youths in the task of nation building," said Dr Tirtha Raj Luitel, founder of the movement, adding: "We should encourage students to come up with a new vision to develop Nepal."
Himalaya Shumsher JBR, economist and founder of the Himalayan Bank Limited, stated that development of Nepal is not possible without the upliftment of the agriculture sector. "In a country where over 83 per cent of people are dependent on agriculture, the state should implement a firm agricultural policy."
Dr Chinta Mani Yogi said that youths should be hard-working, creative and enthusiastic to deal with problems.
