Money to buy clothes

DAMAULI: Authorities in Tanahun have distributed 23.7 million rupees in relief for winter clothes to earthquake victims of last year so far.

Chief District Officer Mahadev Pantha said Rs 10,000 was given to each of the 2,379 households in 23 VDCs.

According to him, preparations are on to send the relief amount to quake victims of other VDCs as well.

The relief was sent by Central Natural Disaster Rescue Committee through the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to administration sources, so far Rs 40 million has been received for clothes for temblor victims in the district. “As the district needs around 56.4 million rupees in clothes allowance, we’ll call for the remaining amount later,” he added.
