More women developing their passports in Parsa

PARSA: The rise in percentage of women developing their passports has outnumbered that of the men in Parsa. The number of women seeking their passports is found to have increased by 18 per cent in compared to that of seven per cent of men.

According to the District Administration Office, Parsa, a total of 12,234 men and 842 women had acquired their passports in the fiscal year 2013/14 and that led to 11,472 and 996 respectively in the previous fiscal year 2014/15.

Of those acquiring their passports, some 95 per cent are believed to have done so for foreign employment, says information officer at the DAO Anuj Bhandari.
