BHOJPUR: Federation of Non-Governmental Organisations, Bhojpur Chapter on behalf of active Non-Governmental Organisations in the district distributed mosquito nets to jailbirds in the Bhojpur Prison.

According to Bal Ram Rai, Chairman of the Federation, the nets were distributed among 70 male and female inmates in the prison.

Out of 70 prisoners, 62 are male and eight are female.

Chief District Officer (CDO) Surendra Raj Paudel of the district handed over the nets to the prison male leaders Nabin Rain and Joksan Rai and female prison leader Samla Rai in a programme.

While speaking in the programme CDO Paudel stressed that the prison should be changed into rehabilitation centre, so that the manpower of the jail could be mobilised for the development of the country.

The demand of solar power made by jailbirds in the programme will be fulfilled soon, he informed.
