KATHMANDU: A man died after the motorcycle he was riding on was hit by a tanker in Sunwal Municipality-7 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West) on Thursday.

Police have identified the deceased as local Hemlal Neupane (42).

According to police, the incident occurred when the petroleum-laden tanker (Lu 1 Kha 6738) hit the motorcycle (Lu 11 Pa 6110) over Jyamire Bridge at 7:00 pm, injuring Neupane.

Critically injured Neupane was rushed to the Rupandehi-based Bhaluhi Medical College where he breathed his last at 8:00 pm the same night during the course of treatment.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
