Motorcyclist killed in Pokhara bus hit

POKHARA: A person died after the motorcycle he was riding on was hit by a bus along the Prithvi Highway in Pokhara Metropolitan City-26 of Kaski district on Tuesday.

Police have identified the deceased as Tikaram Timilsena (42) of Kharanephant of Pokhara-27.

According to Spokesperson at Kaski District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindraman Gurung, the incident occurred when the bus heading towards Damauli from Pokhara hit the motorcycle (Ga 6 Pa 3029) Timilsena was riding in Budhi Bazaar at 8:45 pm yesterday, critically injuring him.

The injured was rushed to Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, where he breathed his last during treatment.

The registration number of the involved bus that fled the incident site is yet to be determined, police said.

Search is going on for the bus and its driver, informed Kaski Police.
