Municipal assembly endorses nine bills
Bhairahawa, March 13
The second municipal meeting of Siddharthanagar Municipality in Rupandehi endorsed nine bills today.
A total of 10 bills were presented for discussion to draft local laws in the first municipal meeting on March 5 and a week’s time was allotted for study. “The second municipal meeting held yesterday and today endorsed nine bills,” said Mayor Hari Prasad Adhikari.
Though eight ward members from the Nepali Congress boycotted the meeting demanding salary yesterday, the bills were approved with majority. However, all the NC representatives, who boycotted the meeting yesterday were present in the meeting today.
“Construction Entrepreneur Act, FM Radio Management and Operation Work Procedure and code of Conduct of Office Bearers of Siddharthanagar Municipality-2018 were endorsed unanimously today,” said deputy mayor Uma Kafle.
