Lamjung: District Court Lamjung has convicted three persons on murder charge and announced 20-year jail term for each of them. A single bench of District Judge Arjun Adhikari gave a verdict to this effect. Shakti Bilash Panta aka Sujan, 31, of Tarkughat, Dauliyadanda, along with his friends Prakash Nepali, 26, and Chij Kumar Shrestha aka Arjun had murdered 80-year-old Rom Kumari Panta on March 15, said court registrar Hari Gopal Gyawali.

The trio was remanded to custody on April 7 whereas another alleged Mandira Shrestha, 26, was released on bail the same day. Panta was staying with her grandson when she was murdered. The body was found in a biogas plant. Shakti Bilash had lured his friends with money to commit the crime, said police.
