NA's health camp facilitated more than 1000 people

SURUNGA: A Free health camp has been organised by Nepal Army's Kali Bahadur Battalion Charali Barrack in Gherabari of southern Jhapa in order to improve the relations between army and civilians.

The free health camp concluded in collaboration with B&B medical college, Mechi Eye Hospital, Nepal red Cross Society Jhapa, District Public Health Office Jhapa, Nepal Red Cross Society Gherabari and Gherabari, Rajgadh, Pathariya and Kechana VDC.

Some 311 people received eye health check-up service in the camp.

Forty two eye patients detected with cataract were referred to Mechi Eye Hospital Anarmani for free of cost surgery, said eye specialist Dr mem Lal Rajbamshi.

Likewise, other 585 people got their health examined in the camp. Among them, the highest numbers of patients are of uterus pro-lapse.

Meanwhile, a blood donation programme was organised under the aegis of Nepal Red Cross Society, said Society Jhapa Chapter Chairperson Lokraj Dhakal.

Some 48 people donated blood on the occasion.
