Limbuwan cadres

ITAHARI: Area Police Office, Dharan has arrested two cadres of Federal Limbuwan State Council along with arms and drugs. Police Inspector Rajendra BK said the arrested are Tek Bahadur Khadka (20) of Dharan- 15 and Amit Magar (23) of Itahari- 5. A Chinese revolver, bullets used in 9 mm pistol and khukuri were seized from them, Inspector BK added.

Dalits get solar lamps

LAHAN: A total of 60 pieces of solar lamps have been distributed to people of Dalit community, deprived of electricity, in 24 Village Development Committees of Siraha district. Dalit families have felt a relief from load shedding after the distribution of lamps by the Energy and Environment Unit, District Development Committee, Siraha. Energy and Environment Officer Gyanendra Singh said Badaharamal, Radhopur, Kalyanpur, Kalabajar, Malhaniya Khori, Bhedia, Sikron, Gautari Village Development Committees will pay to the Energy and Environment Unit Rs 25,000 per Village Development Committee for providing the lamps to the dalits. He added grants were also available for biogas plants
