National security press to be kept at Banepa IT Park

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota today said the national security press would be kept at Information Technology Park located in Banepa by next year.

Laying the foundation stone of Martyrs’ road at Budol of Banepa Municiplaity-6, Minister Baskota said, “Security press, one of the national pride projects, will be kept at the IT Park next year.” He stated that the security press’ capacity would be upgraded continuously so that it could print banknotes, passports, postal tickets and digital cards. He informed that his ministry had allocated a budget of Rs 650 million for the press.

Baskota claimed that the incumbent government had expedited pace of development in the country. “Development has picked up pace and the government will not stop until its slogan of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ is realised,” he said.
