PARASI: Despite the authorities saying that preventive measures have been stepped up in Jhyalbas area in Deurali VDC-6 in the district, Bird flu detected in Jhyalbas some days back has spread to adjoining villages and parts of Ramgram Municipality. According to locals, domesticated birds in Arunkhola in Parasi Bazaar of Ramgram Municipality have been affected. Fowls are dying in large number in the areas.

District Livestock Office said that they will carry out tests of the birds. Shivanath Mahato, Information officer, Bird Flu Control Programme, said, they have been culling birds in Jhyalbas area, though.
