CHITWAN: The bandh called by the NC crippled normal life in Chitwan. The district chapter of the NC called the bandh to protest the murder of its party cadre Govinda Poudel.

The agitators vandalised more than a dozen motorcycles for defying the bandh. Vehicles stayed off the roads. Markets and educational institutions also remained shut.

The agitators also vandalised a motorcycle of Dil Bahadur Adhikari, editor of Chitwan-based Loktantra daily .
